Speed = Distance ÷ Time
90 ÷ 1.69 = 53.3 (to 3 s.f) cm/s
53.3 ÷ 100 = 0.533 m/s

(b) Yes, it is possible to change the speed of the wave pulse of the same width. However, this is only possible if the tension of the wave is decreased.
